1. What kind of Gold do you accept at The Gold Market will buy your unwanted,
broken, damaged, dirty or tarnished Gold. We will buy yellow Gold, white Gold , rose gold ,three coloured Gold. We will buy
Gold of any carat purity. We also buy Hallmarked Silver, and Platinum . We will buy any quantity, large or small.
2. I don't know what type of Gold I have
No problem ! we will look at it and assess it. If it's Hallmarked
then we will point the Hallmarks out to you and explain them, if not, we will test the Gold using our electronic
testing device and ascertain the purity of your Gold electronically
3. What if I do not know the
weight of my Gold ?
We will weigh your Gold on our Precision Electronic Digital Balances This
will be done in front of you* - not out of sight in the back room as some jeweller's shops do. You will
see the accurate weight and can note it down yourself. We will weigh each item separately if necessary to ensure the best
accuracy for you. We will weigh your Gold items in either grams or ounces, or both, whichever is your preference.

How much will you pay for my Gold jewellery?
Our buying
prices are based on the London Bullion Market Fix which changes daily, so our prices are constantly changing.

5. Some of my jewellery is set with stones. will you buy it ?
The
Gold Market can only buy the Gold content of your jewellery and so cannot
buy stones. If you give us permission to remove any stones from your jewellery ,then we can weigh the Gold accurately and
we can buy the Gold. The stones will be returned to you. However, we cannot guarantee to remove the stones without damaging
the Gold item and the stone itself. Please consider carefully if you want this item to be included in your items for sale.
6. How quickly do I get paid ?
The Gold Market will pay you immediately,
in cash as soon as you accept our quotation and you have confirmed your identity and that you are the legal
owner of the items offered for sale.
7. Do you buy silver ?
Yes, we buy any silver, in any
condition as long as it has a UK Hallmark
8. Do you buy gold plated or fashion jewellery?
No,
sorry, we only buy precious metals.
9. How do I know that
your prices are good ?
The Gold Market are constantly monitoring the buying prices in the
marketplace and we adjust our buying prices accordingly.As we do not have expensive high street retail premises to maintain,
our operational costs are much lower than our competitor's ,allowing us to pay you more for your gold
10. What if I have a mixture of Gold carats and some Platinum ?
we
will assess each item individually, weigh each item separately, and ensure that you receive the correct individual prices
for each item
11. What type of ID do you require ?
We
will need to see either a photo ID such as a Driver's Licence, or Passport or a recent utility bill with your name and address
on . We will also need you to confirm that you are the legal owner of the items for sale. This is to protect us from fraud
and stolen items.
12. Your prices are much better than
my local jeweller will offer. Why ?
Your local High Street Jeweller has all the overheads associated with his
retail premises such as rent,rates, stock, staff costs etc. He has to make a larger margin to cover these costs. We are specialist
Gold buyers and do not have these costs and so can offer you a much better price . Also, most High Street Jewellers do not
have the staff with the specialist expertise and testing equipment to buy Gold and so offer you a low price so as to 'cover'
themselves.
13. I have a flexible gold bangle to sell.
My local jeweller won't buy it. will you ?
Yes ,we will. Often, Gold jewellery Manufactureres insert steel into
bangles to make then strong and flexible. This is perfectly legal and the item can be Hallmarked legally. Most jewellers will
not want to buy such an item. The Gold Market will remove the steel wire insert ( only with your permission)
and will then weigh and offer to buy your Bangle.
14. Will
you buy my watch ?
Yes. if it is Gold, we will buy it !!.But remember, the watch movement is not Gold and so will
be removed (with your permission )and returned to you. Please remove any watch batteries also !
15. Will you buy Diamond Jewellery ?
Yes. But only the GOLD
CONTENT of the jewellery, NOT the Diamonds.

I don't want cash. How else can you pay me ?
We can
pay you by cheque, postal order, Paypal, or by Direct Interbank transfer. Remember, we will require your Bank details to enable
a swift transfer of money.
17. I don't understand grams.
I prefer ounces.
No
problem. To convert grams to ounces see below;
1 gram = 0.0312 oz
1 oz = 31.1 grams
18 . I want to post my Gold to you, but how do I know that it will be safe?
We use the Royal
Mail Special Delivery Service for our postal Gold Buying Service. This service ensures that your Gold
is fully insured in transit against loss or damage up to £500, and more if you 'tick' one of the relevant boxes.( please note
that any claims for loss would need to be made directly to Royal Mail). Your Special Delivery parcel is also 'trackable' whilst
in transit by using your unique reference number .( see our post your gold to
us page for details of this service )
When your parcel arrives with us, we will inspect it thoroughly before
opening it to check for damage or tampering and will contact you immediately if we are concerned.We will weigh your parcel
before opening and will allocate a unique reference number to it for internal processing. Only then will the parcel be opened
and the contents checked-in and weighed.
19 . How will I know that you have received my Gold parcel?
We will contact
you when we receive your parcel, and again when we have assessed your Gold to make you a quotation.
20. Will you resell my gold jewellery ?
No. Your Gold will be melted
down and refined before being recycled and re-used for new jewellery items.
